Learn More About Heat Lock Technology
The Heat Lock feature works by measuring the ambient light that bounces off surfaces and reflects into the ambient light sensor in the flashlight. Many surfaces do not reflect light and therefore the Heat Lock feature will not work. Dark surfaces, textured surfaces and transparent surfaces DO NOT WORK to activate the Heat Lock feature. Other surfaces may also fail to activate the Heat Lock feature. The Heat Lock feature is not intended to provide complete protection against harm or damage to property.
